We are thrilled to welcome festival favourite Kathryn Rudge back to Uppermill for the first time since 2018.
Our Opening Recital this year, sure to be an emotional occasion, will include songs both reflective and joyous - many linked to our Festival theme of Connections to the Natural World.
Kathryn’s programme will begin with music by Schubert, this year’s featured composer (including The Trout and Hark! Hark the Lark) and include Aaron Copland’s Old American songs, and a selection of lighter gems by Eric Coates, of Desert Island Discs’ fame!
“This charismatic singer, with her immaculate diction, knows how to stir the heart, and one hardly dares to predict what is to come.” (Opera Magazine)
