We begin our Festival celebration of Ralph Vaughan Williams – the giant of English music, born 150 years ago this year – with this joyous ecumenical service. Turn up in good voice to join in singing some of his best-loved hymns, including “Come down, O Love Divine” and “For all the Saints”, along with others composed by his teachers and pupils. This wonderful showcase of familiar English Church Music will be complimented by a selection of Anthems presented by the Pennine Singers.
Retiring collection (no ticket required)
Venue: St. Chads Church
